Mike Dehnert – Framework

28 03 2011

Having left the genre for quite a while now, it’s so reassuring to find there’s still immensely interesting dark, spacious techno records being made. Mike Dehnert builds his Framework, and that’s exactly what it sounds like; a formula for the way techno should sound, and should be listened to. It builds and ascends above the forulaic beat that some of the oldest names still drive hard at clubs across the world. Added is just enough dub and industrial vibe to set the balance and bang out the core beat where it counts; when it hits it hurts.

There is no attempt to break from the techno sound, Denhert has crafted this from hours of live mixing and it shows, it is techno, but it is interesting on a listening-on-your-cans level.

Framework is Denhert’s first drop on the Delsin label, out now: Framework
